Coach Thompson says that the team played its best , complete game of the season, putting it together both on the offensive and defensive ends of the court. Everyone got involved even taking a couple of defensive charges which makes things easier as a team. It was such a joy to see everyone playing with and for each other. My hopes are that we use this momentum to finsih out the season and the playoffs, states Coach.

After falling behind early with a sluggish start and poor teamwork, the Sizzlers fought back hard in the second half only to lose by nine points.
Coach Thompson said that the final outcome looked pretty good after being down close to 30 points, a hole that we should have never dug for ourselves.
Coach continues with, “a game like this simply shows our youthfulness and immaturity and should not be taking place at this stage of the season”. I am beyond frustrated with a couple of guys, especially one that is supposed to be our leader. I should simply be coaching basketball and preparing for the post-season instead of addressing behavioral issues with pro guys.

Not often do every player that plays scores in double figures but that was the case on this cold night in Kansas City where everything Sizzlers was hot inside. Yes the score was lopsided but Coach Thompson states that "we simply have to be ready when we are scheduled to play" and not worry so much about the opponents. He continues with, we have to continue to work on "us" as it has been tough to maintain our conditioning with guys being out due to the pandemic and hurt.

The Sizzlers, finally putting a complete game together, led from start to finish in defeating the Missouri Capitals for their first win of the season. Coach Thompson states that he had to go to his “playoff” rotation to try to gain some confidence and consistently.

Although the Sizzlers played well early on, they continued to struggle down the stretch and lost a tough road match to the St. Louis Spirits. Coach Thompson states, just because we are young does not justify a lack of effort. Our guys simply need to grow up in a hurry and understand their roles.

- Coming off a good road win against the Missouri Capitals and two good practices, the KC Sizzlers jumped out into an early lead against the River City Gamblers but had to fight back from a 8 point deficit in the 4th quarter to secure victory.
- Titus Rice led the way in the 1st quarter before having to leave the game with a strained calf muscle, he finished with 12 points in limited action on 5 of 6 shooting.

- The KC Sizzlers had a balanced attack in scoring with five (5) players in double figures led by Deionte Wilson with 29 points and eight (8) rebounds, followed by Taz Jones’ 28 points, 14 rebounds, 2 blocks, 2 steals, and 2 assists. Titus Rice took the challenge of shutting down their high scorer early on tallying 15 points and 5 rebounds while being hobbled with a sore calf. Jared Cooper finished with 14 points and 6 rebounds.
